Jonathan Livingston Seagull

“They are saying in the Flock that if you are not the Son of the Great Gull Himself”, Fletcher told Jonathan one morning after Advanced Speed Practice, “then you are a thousand years ahead of your time.”
Jonathan sighed. The price of being misunderstood he thought. They call you devil or they call you god. “What do you think, Fletch? Are we ahead of our time?”
A long silence, “Well, this kind of flying has always been here to be learned by anyone who wanted to discover it; that’s got nothing to do with time. We’re ahead of the fashion, maybe. Ahead of the way that most gulls fly.”“That’s something,” Jonathan said, rolling to glide inverted for a while. “That’s not half as bad as being ahead of our time”.

The Golden Light of Home

In the evening,
We walk the fields of our dreams,
In the bright golden light.

You show me the way home,
We're hand in hand,
At each other's side.

And now my heart is aching,
In the early morning silence,
So near yet so far away.

I looked and looked,
I tried and tried,
And rarely got it right.

Little did I know,
All along it was you,
Hiding at home,
Who was wishing for flight.

And now finally you appear,
A shining star in my night,
A beautiful sight.

I'm breaking in two,
Because we're so far apart,
But you're always with me,
Here in my heart.

We're making a new start,
Now those stars are aligned,
I'm amazed at how they shine.

You've lit a spark in me again,
A light that I thought had gone out,
I'm whole again,
You're healing my broken heart.

Ask Yourself

Ask yourself,
Are you on the path you want to be on?

Slow down, sit still, listen attentively,
Pay attention to what the world has to say.
Hear with your heart.
Feel the wisdom that yearns to find expression through you and within you.

Take care of each precious moment.

But how long or short is a moment?

Each moment contains the 'past' and the 'future' - both are present within it,
Each moment has moment-um!
Each moment is in motion,
Each moment contains the energy of emotion to propel it along.
Each moment is a present - a gift to cherish
The present is full of possibilities - infinite gifts.
Within the space where freedom is - the freedom to choose,
Without restriction, without friction.

There is an ease, a flow
A way of Doing through Being present to what is now.

This is the essence of love - the interconnected web of all things,
Which is a Life,
Which is a Universe.
For each life is contained fully in each moment.

In some respects, a life is only a moment....
But, what a moment!
Each life is a Universe.
And what a Universe!

For each life, like each moment allows something new to appear in the world,
Something unique.

A life, like a Universe, is a moment,
A movement,
A creative exploration of possibilities...
But, which one to choose?

The balance between action and acceptance,
The paradox of making changes,
While accepting the way things are.

The art of learning to truly live,
To truly love, to truly create.

Finding God In All Things

 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Finding-God-things-Brian-Grogan/dp/187224548X/

...This is an account of an experience I had in January 2014...

"I'm in total, total bliss....in my whole body. Full body bliss from head to toe. I'm literally shaking with the intensity of it. I can hardly type. I am overcome with such deep feelings of love and connection. Now I know how sand feels when it is melted in the heat of a furnace to yield crystal clear glass. Perhaps to make a crystal bowl or a goblet from which to drink nectar. And I yield to the flames. I yield to the metamorphosis, the alchemy.

On the way in on the train, I was looking out at Dublin Bay. The crystal clear mill-pond-still-waters. The Stena-Line ferry floating along the surface towards her port, gliding with grace and ease. What a difference to last week's tremendous storms.

And then an older silver-haired gentleman gets on the train and sits diagonally opposite me, across the aisle. He takes out a small scarlet-covered booklet. Is this blood red cover a reflection of the fire at the heart of the furnace I am at the centre of?

And the title of the book? "Finding God In All Things".... My God! My God!... In All Things.

For the first time perhaps, I really get it, I really see Him, I really feel Him. Tears come again. Release of pent-up emotions. Water flowing from my eyes down my cheeks like streams. But, no chance of quenching this fire inside the furnace....

Thank God!
My God!
In All Things!

.....including me :) "

The Universe - Alive!

Father Sun shines out his Loving Light,
Lover Earth looks on and holds him in her gaze,
Their child the Moon was the gift they received,
Created from these two great Beings through the Love they share.

The Moon in her cradle looks on,
Balanced at the centre point,
She reflects her Father's Light into her Mother's eyes,
Following her own path of the heart.

True love between this family of Angelic Beings,
Their joy in creation and growth, development and evolution,
Entangled in the energy they share.

The stars sparkle in the heavens above,
Other Suns, Other Earths, Other Moons,
Other family and friends,
Galaxies of swirling flowing forms,
Expressing joy in fulfilling their own creativity,
Sending out Light to form other worlds.

And humanity stands together now,
Holding hands on clear nights,
Soul Families,
Gaze up and shed tears of joy and love,
Because of the harmony and beauty of it all,

The Universe - Alive!
A Loving, evolving Organism!

This poem was inspired by the Biologist and Philosopher Rupert Sheldrake and his question:
"Does the Sun think?"

The Healing Journey

Healing requires embarking on a journey along previously untrammeled paths, so that the unconscious becomes conscious. It requires the raising of consciousness, an expansion of awareness, so that we see the world with different eyes. We see the world anew.

Crises in our lives offer us an opportunity to evolve in new directions and to create new versions of ourselves, so that we can explore new pathways that we would not otherwise have taken if things had stayed the same.

Healing occurs when we connect with the deepest aspects of ourselves in our hearts. We can then meet with our deepest fears, feelings and emotions, which also lead us to connect more fully with our bodies and with the world. For we are our bodies and we are the world, since we are creative participants in the world. The world does not consist of objects and events from which we are separated. It is often feelings of disconnection, fragmentation and loneliness that are the causes of our dis-ease(s). We create our bodies and we create the world. We give to the world and we receive from the world. We are distinct, unique and fundamental parts of the collective world soul.

When we seek healing, we move deeper into the silence of our yearning for peace with ourselves, for coherence, for harmony and connection with All That Is. We connect with ourselves and thereby open ourselves up to receive the wisdom of the world soul, which speaks to our hearts clearly when we are calm and present so that we can truly listen to the messages and meanings in every moment. We find a still place, within which there is clarity, focus, joyous feelings and a clear vision about who we are and where we are going. We then are blessed to move deeper into connection with our souls, with the world and with ourselves.  We can then truly heal and be healed.

Heart Opening

The heart opens at the appropriate stage of the inner journey....at that point, great progress has been made and then it seems to me there is a kind of a positive feedback loop from which there is no escape. Who would want to escape from such feelings?!

The more love, joy and bliss we feel in our hearts, the more this is reflected back to us from the world, our circumstances and the people we attract into our lives and then these experiences produce more love and joy in our hearts...

To be able to integrate these feelings into very day life is helped when we become conscious of our breathing, a deep relaxation, and the feelings in the heart spread. It is amazing how it becomes ones natural ‘state of Being’.

God/Universal Consciousness/All That Is can then do his/her work through us when we surrender to the moment, the natural flow of things, when we accept and let go....when we swim with the currents of energy flowing in our hearts and become open to what the Universe has to offer us. These gifts we then accept with humility and thanks.

Consciousness and The New Earth

The New Earth will become a reality and its manifestation is dependent upon the state of our collective consciousness.

So, as our consciousness evolves, a new field of energy is forming that will enable us to find the solutions to our present problems...there is a lot of hope now I believe.

The fact is, the effect of consciousness on reality is the one major thing that mostly science isn't currently taking into account when it runs its models...there can be no such thing as objective reality because the presence of consciousness influences reality, so changes will occur exponentially as more and more people wake up as they join the collective energy field.

And it is the new young people of this era, who are actually "old souls" who will lead this revolution from the heart as we move fully into the new energy of the coming era.

Walking Through Illusion: A Review

I have just finished reading Walking Through Illusion by Betsy Otter Thompson.

This book consists of inspired information in which Jesus speaks about the people who shared his journey during his time here on Earth, such as Mary Magdalene, Judas and Pilate for example.

Each chapter deals with particular individuals to whom Jesus gave advice and with whom he discussed the particular issues they faced, how they were influenced by his teachings, his approach to life and his state of Being.

It is a joy to read about Jesus' own thought processes here - truly inspired and presented with great beauty.

Always, the advice of Jesus is to approach the issues of every day life from a heart-based state of Being. Betsy states that in order to begin to write this book she had to open her heart to different emotional issues. In the process of praying and asking for a way forward this approach was revealed to her.

Each chapter deals with issues/topics that we all face in our everyday lives in this reality such as Reform, Gifts, Obstacles, Morality, Nourishment, Beliefs, Opinions, Approval, Fairness, Curiosity, Truth, Advice, Complaints, Acceptance, Hearts, Handicaps, Betrayal, Identities, Hatred, Memories, Confusion, Death and Time.

For example, Bartholomew was give the following advice by Jesus:

"See success differently, I told Bartholomew, and instead of insisting it’s something you see with your eyes, see it as something you feel in your heart. I called this process walking through illusion".

The book is full of beautiful statements like this. I particularly enjoyed the quotes at the beginning and end of each chapter. These words are truly inspired and inspiring.

At the end of each chapter there is a worksheet section in which the reader can work through their own thoughts/feelings on the issues highlighted in each chapter. These sections are particularly useful I feel. Finally, Betsy shares her own reflections on the issues raised in each chapter, which provides a nice personal touch.

This is a book about the words and approaches of Jesus specifically and not surprisingly, in this context, there is universal wisdom here, which all true seekers will enjoy and benefit from. The concepts are presented and discussed with clarity and ease.

The words of Jesus still resonate and remain alive through this work. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and highly recommend it as a book to keep by the bedside and to return to again and again for deep insights and wisdom on the joy and travails of every day living.

The Heart That Is You

It is the mind that worries,
It is the mind that lacks faith,
It is the mind that doubts.

Remember,
Beyond the mind and its doubts is the heart,
The feelings of the heart are always there,
The heart is above and below the mind,
The heart is within and outside the mind.

It is the heart that truly knows,
It is the heart that truly accepts,
It is the heart that truly creates,
It is the heart that Is,
It is the heart that Is You.

The Beauty Of Apple Trees

In the orchard, the apple trees were loaded with fruit...so much, falling down on the ground...all around...

When she wrote, she didn't know about the trees, but she said:

"I guess the meaning is not to "look" at an apple tree with enthusiasm and interest as a child that sees an apple tree for the first or third time, but to acknowledge that we see an apple tree and let the energy of the apple tree reach us and flow into our eyes and heart...."

This seemed to me to be a wonderful description of how to sense Beauty....

Actually, what we see is only a small fraction of all the energy emanating from the apple tree - the energy our eyes can capture...just the electromagnetic wavelengths of visible light, but of course the tree - made of matter (crystallised energy if you like), part of the visible (to us) universe) is vibrating at a virtually infinite number of energetic frequencies, so it (the tree) actually exists in realms/dimensions of reality beyond our senses in addition to those we can see with our eyes.....

So, this is why no matter how hard we try to "see" the apple tree, our vision of the tree (through our eyes and processed in the mind) will never give us a complete appreciation of its Beauty.....

We should allow ourselves to "see" the tree with the aspects of ourselves that are also vibrating at these higher frequencies. The higher frequencies correspond to higher states of consciousness, and to do this we should allow ourselves to transcend the idea that we are separate from the tree, so that the energies passing between us and the tree can interact/exchange more easily, so we then truly begin to "see" the tree with our hearts by allowing "the energy of the apple tree [to] reach us and flow into our eyes and heart...."

I believe this is what happens when our consciousness expands from the heart - it fills the surroundings and we feel much more at-one with everything, since we become more sensitive in picking up the signals/energies in the environment around us....we sense the Beauty in our surroundings....

Surrender

Surrender,
Let go.

There is no Future,
There is no Past,
There is only Now.

Allow Yourself to just Be,
Be Here,
Be Present,
Be Now.

Melt into the Moment,
Allow Miracles to Happen.

Walk the Path,
Which leads from Your Heart.

Fly up to the Clouds,
Towards Life,
Towards Love,
Towards Peace,
Towards Beauty.

Go to the Mountain,
And Jump off,
Only then will You Know,
You can Fly.
