What Dreams are These?

Autumn Leaves

ALBATROSS

Everything in its Right Place!

When we are on the spiritual path, we often find ourselves wondering how things will develop ...and there is a temptation to push. Although healthy, gentle discipline is good, I guess the most important thing is not to push too far in certain directions, to drain ourselves of energy or expect certain things to happen before we're ready.

Anything that we do can lead to a devotional state - gardening, being a parent, son, daughter, scientist, musician, artist, plumber, builder..... we are here simply to be us - not to be defined by what we do or how we see ourselves in relation to others. We are undeniably our unique selves!

Each of us, our basic essence/consciousness, is unique like a jigsaw puzzle piece. We are pieces of consciousness with a particular "shape" and so each one of us is absolutely essential for the unfolding of the Universe. 

We are each individual jigsaw pieces in the great puzzle of the universe! Everything in its right place - Radiohead!

 

Swimming Freely with Dolphins

So, this evening on the way home I spotted 4 sea kayakers from the train. I then noticed that they were being followed by what I thought were the porpoises again, but then I realised they were actually dolphins! The kayakers soon realised they were being followed. So, I decided to get off the train and walk along the beach to get a closer look -  the dolphins were jumping out of the water with the kayakers were looking on in amazement (maybe it was these dolphins I saw yesterday). It was beautiful. The sun was setting. What a blessing to see these beautiful creatures so close to home!

 Each interaction with another is an invitation, an opportunity to find our highest self. Families can be particularly difficult because of all the unwritten rules and old expectations of who we are in the eyes of other family members, so they require particular understanding and patience. 

Each interaction tells us something about ourselves if we listen to our hearts and the feelings/voices of our intuitions. Then we start seeing things/interpreting things in new ways. We then seem to have answers/solutions to various issues/problem/questions that may be so obvious to us that we can't believe we hadn't realised these things before. 

It can be something that is quite mundane - family or work-related or a fundamental question about philosophy, spirituality or a scientific question about the universe. Just by being trusting, open and patient we can become aware of the answers either intuitively during meditation and/or at another time (just walking along or in that fuzzy state before waking up completely) or maybe something in a book or an email may be relevant or we see a TV programme or film that provides an answer.  

Just be open to what the universe and other people have to offer.


 

The Madness of the Warrior

A few quotes from Paulo Coelho's Manual of the Warrior of Light that I love about the need for a touch of madness to be a warrior of the light, in other words to grow spiritually:

"The warrior of light does not worry that, to others, his behaviour might seem quite mad. He talks out loud to himself when he is alone. Circles within Circles

She talked about circles within circles...- the fractal (holographic) nature of the universe, which is actually what Gregg Braden's book Fractal Time is about (I just finished reading it). The ancients also knew this wisdom in the Hermetic dictum "As above, so Below"...

Braden describes how Einstein determined that space and time are inseparable...we live in  a space-time continuum. The patterns in physical nature are due to fractal geometry http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fractal, repeating patterns with patterns...as above so below...the holographic universe is another description of this - see  Michael Talbot -

If space and time are inseparable and matter is energy then time is also an energy, which also exists in fractal patterns that repeat themselves in cycles or as waves that propagate through space-time!

According to quantum physics, all possible futures genuinely exist in the fabric of reality as possibilities - some are more probable than others, but the fractal waves of time set the conditions for the probabilities of these possible events, but it isn't a linear relationship...since the state of our consciousness is capable of altering those events...things that look probable, which are manifestations of lower energy don't happen (higher energy always trumps lower energy in terms of frequency, amplitude etc), things associated with higher energies...joy, peace, love, harmony, coherence do happen...and the energies of 2012 - this period in time that the ancients spoke of - this is our opportunity to help change the world.

We are all being given a choice..when we make choices in our lives from a state of expanded consciousness we allow more possibilities for growth and evolution to manifest themselves...so, everyone, whether they realise it or not, is caught up in that energy.  We don't achieve change by fighting for it, by struggle...we effect change by applying
the energy of the universe through us - by Being, which is of course within us - to help manifest this change at the choice points we have in the quantum flux of energy, which is time....that is the Doing - also called Right Action!

So, there are circles within circles and cycles within cycles...beautiful! 

Accepting the Gifts

Nothing happens by chance ... ....I picked up a book on Controversies on Science today and I thought to myself, "I wonder if there's anything in here about Alfred Russell Wallace?" (co-discoverer of theory of evolution) as he was quite a controversial character and became very interested in metaphysics and spiritualism. He thought that evolution was a much more guided process than the Neo-Darwinists believe. And, Lo and behold, I randomly opened the book to the page on Wallace! I literally did Laugh Out Loud! Again, wonderful.....

I love it when those kinds of coincidences/synchronicities happen and really enjoy them... such things will begin to happen more and more as our intuition develops and we trust in the flow of the Universe! :-) 

And, I'm not saying that I'm an expert by any means...sometimes I go for days without anything like that happening, but it's nice to accept those gifts when they appear....



 

Heart Opening

The heart opens at the appropriate stage of the inner journey....at that point, great progress has been made and then it seems to me there is a kind of a positive feedback loop from which there is no escape. Who would want to escape from such feelings?!

The more love, joy and bliss we feel in our hearts, the more this is reflected back to us from the world, our circumstances and the people we attract into our lives and then these experiences produce more love and joy in our hearts... 

To be able to integrate these feelings into very day life is helped when we become conscious of our breathing, a deep relaxation, and the feelings in the heart spread. It is amazing how it becomes ones natural ‘state of Being’.

God/Universal Consciousness/All That Is can then do his/her work through us when we surrender to the moment, the natural flow of things, when we accept and let go....when we swim with the currents of energy flowing in our hearts and become open to what the Universe has to offer us. These gifts we then accept with humility and thanks.

  

Where is my Trust and Faith Today?

I keep feeling where is my trust and faith today? Rather than staying centred I am noticing I am off balance.....on the plus side though, when I stop, slow down and breathe I can feel myself getting back to centre again and feel the bliss inside...still there but a bit buried....I feel like saying “stuff it all” today and going and sitting on a park bench all afternoon (like Eckhart Tolle did in London for 2 years after his spiritual awakening!), but I can’t sadly.

I guess it is just fine to accept the way we feel...why fight it?....just be...whether happy, frustrated, sad, ill! Just Be! And the point is to stay in the World, rather than becoming reclusive, to be able to find the centre within us, however we are feeling ....our true eternal self is always there in the background...staying calm and knowing the wider truth of the universe, even if sometimes we can’t see it.

 

Porpoises

I just got back from a great run - up over the hill and along by the sea. I did some exercises on the beach and then jumped in the sea for a few minutes. I didn't swim (waves too high and the tide in), but  it was so invigorating. I sat on the beach and watched the sea for a while. It is such a nice day - perfect blue sky, blue green sea and lots of seagulls and other wildlife.

A little further along the beach I noticed at least 2 porpoise (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porpoise) diving in and out of the sea as I ran along. I hadn't seen them before - they were wonderful, although I couldn't see them too well as they were a distance from the shore. 

I looked up the spiritual meaning of porpoise - "denotes spiritual guidance, or humanitarian nature"...funny thing was, I had a brief chat to an old gentleman who said hello to me. I told him about the porpoise. He was pleased to hear this, then asked if they like warm water. I said I didn't know - then he said, quite profoundly, "The world is changing and we have to stay positive". " Have faith" I said..he looked at me and then said "Yes, have faith"! I said "it was nice talking to you" and off I ran..... it was one of those special meetings/synchronicities ...really profound...an important message I think!

Faith in My Abilities

I have faith in my abilities to receive guidance, support and direction in my life. 

When I ask for guidance, support and direction I receive it - unconditionally. 

I am grateful for the support I receive from my guides. 

I notice the the birds that appear and the white feathers and the leaves that fall at my feet. 

I know that I am on the right path! 

I trust in the rightness of things and I have faith in the future. 

My power is now, in the spacious present. 

For it is in the present that I plant the seeds that will grow into the produce of the future.
